Your talk has inspired much discussion and I have to say one of the most thought provoking ones we’ve had! Thank you again for a very interesting evening.

Dear Georgette,

That really was a good talk last night to the Dereham Antiquarian Society. You could tell everyone enjoyed it, because nobody was in a hurry to leave afterwards. So well done, and many many thanks.

How I wish schools were allowed to teach history in such an interesting way then perhaps we would have a generation aware of what has gone before.

Hi Georgette

On behalf of the Norfolk Military Vehicle Group I would like to thank you sincerely for being the guest speaker at our February meeting. The group members were very complimentary and last weekend members were still talking about your presentation and how much they had enjoyed it. They appreciated an insight into the life of Lucilla Reeve and how something so fundamental to the army  affected her and many others, devastating their homes and their lives. If the group are able to visit the battleground this year we will have some knowledge that will put things into perspective. Again, many thanks. Kind regards

Lynne Fulton

“My friends and I all thought the Wymondham Tour with Georgette Vale was brilliant. We enjoyed the trail, hearing about the history of the town and the lives of people who played a prominent role. Georgette’s delivery was well illustrated, lively and entertaining.  We would recommend the tour to both locals and visitors to the town who have an interest in history. With thanks and best wishes”

“An excellent tour – interesting and informative, clear and well presented.  I shall do it again!”

Jacqui Horton

“During a recent visit to Wymondham Abbey from Beccles with a group of French musicians from our twin town, Georgette travelled on the coach with us, telling us about Wymondham during the journey and showing us pictures to illustrate her points. All this was done in a lively manner and in very clear, fluent French. We were grateful for this wonderful service as we sadly had a limited amount of time beforehand to tell our visitors about the beautiful town and area we were about to visit”

Mary Ellwood, Teacher and member of Beccles Twinning Committee.

“I would like to let you know how much I enjoyed the guided tour around Wymondham. Living locally I thought I knew quite a bit about the town but now I realise how many interesting things I have walked past and not noticed before. Despite the weather being rather inclement the tour around was perfect after-Christmas exercise and the opportunity for the small group to continue their education in the warmth of a local hostelry was  much appreciated.”

Ron Brewer

“Georgette opened my eyes to many things in and about Wymondham. Despite having lived here for more than 20 years it was amazing how much new information she gave us, tailored to our interests, in such an interesting and stimulating way. Thanks so much Georgette, Vivienne”

Vivienne Clifford-Jackson

“Your talk was amazing.   I really felt I was listening to Edith Cavell!  I found it very compelling.”

Julie Climpson

“Just to say I very much enjoyed my trip around Wymondham with you today and you made it very interesting.   I am glad that you have taken up the challenge of being a guide as it is very much needed, which was evidenced by today’s visitors with you.”

Janis Raynsford

“Thank you for leading us on a very interesting and informative walk this morning.I shall make sure I look up more often when walking through Wymondham!”
